“Greening” Your Fleet
By ‘greening’ your fleet, you’re not only cleaning up the environment, but you’re taking a step towards reducing our country’s foreign dependence on oil as well. Recognizing the broad impact that transportation has on America’s carbon footprint, engineers at ROUSH CleanTech have developed these vehicles fueled by a clean, green, domestically produced energy source. About 90 percent of propane used in the U.S. is produced domestically.
These vehicles also meet the stringent "SULEV" emissions standards set by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). Your customers will thank you for providing them with a more environmentally responsible option.
Refueling
There are thousands of propane fueling stations across the U.S. The Department of Energy maintains a database to help you find one convenient to you at here. Or, you may choose to install an on-site fueling station at little or no cost, with federal tax incentives in place to help offset any costs. In addition to the tax credit for installing new propane autogas fueling structures, fleet operators are eligible for a federal tax credit for every gallon of propane autogas the operator sells at the facility. If you’re interested in obtaining your own refueling infrastructure, please call 800.59.ROUSH or contact us through this website.
Tax Incentives
The federal government encourages the transition toward alternative fuels like propane by offering fleet managers tax incentives. Incentives include significant tax credits on fuel and partial reimbursement for fueling infrastructure. To also learn about your state’s tax incentives, click here.
System Overview
Significant planning and development exists behind the design of this innovative propane technology, but the switch over is straightforward. The components are all designed to fit within the same mounting points of the mid-ship gasoline tank found on the original vehicle frame. This location is also designed so that it doesn’t interfere with Ford body specs. The system’s primary assemblies are:
-
Fuel Rail
- Fuel Injectors
- Injection Pressure / Temperature Sensor
-
Fuel Lines
- Flow Control Solenoid
-
Fuel Tank
- Fuel Pump
- Fuel Level Sensor
-
Calibration
- Wiring Harness
