Green Your Fleet with ROUSH CleanTech

Indiana conference will show propane autogas-fueled fleet vehicles are smart choice for cleaner cities.

Livonia, Mich (October 22, 2010) —For fleet managers, it’s all about reliable transportation running with minimal operating costs. Think you can’t accomplish this with a cleaner carbon footprint? ROUSH®CleanTechasks you to think again, and to attend the Greening Your Fleet Conference to preview a ROUSH CleanTech liquid propane injection Ford F-250 pickup truck.

The conference, held October 26 and 27 at the Courtyard by Marriot, 1150 South Harrison Street in Fort Wayne, Ind., and presented by the Greater Indiana Clean Cities Coalition (GICC) and the Indiana Chapter of the American Public Works Association will feature an array of alternative-fueled fleet options.

“The Green Your Fleet conference offers the latest information for fleet professionals that want to integrate an environmentally-friendly component into their fleet operations,” said Kellie Walsh, executive director of GICC. “Those who attend will learn how to measure their fleet’s carbon footprint, right-size their fleet for the job at hand, and learn about upcoming funding opportunities available for making the transition to green fuels.”

Indicating ROUSH CleanTech’s commitment to fleet operations, Walsh said, “The vehicle options from the ROUSH CleanTech package are spanning a lot of niches. ROUSH CleanTech executives will be on hand to review their new production line coming out this year and will have propane autogas-powered fleet vehicles to showcase propane’s advantages.”

Indeed, ROUSH CleanTech is poised to usher fleet managers into the seats of their lineup of reliable and safe propane trucks and vans, coupled with the addition of 115 propane autogas fueling sites, Indiana autogas users will have to drive no more than 30 miles to top off their clean-burning, environmentally-friendly vehicle of choice.

“Propane is positioned to become the fuel of choice for fleet managers across the Hoosier State,” said Todd Mouw, vice president of sales & marketing for ROUSH CleanTech. “Propane is a cost-effective, clean-burning fuel that is highly reliable and readily available. In fact, the state’s Department of Transportation is creating the nation’s largest network of autogas fueling sites. We see Indiana as a key state for propane autogas adoption amongst private and public fleets with this fueling infrastructure soon to be in place.”
