Cypress Services Local Streets with ROUSH CleanTech Propane Autogas Trucks

With the existing fueling infrastructure in place and funding through the AQMD, the city of Cypress purchased the Roush CleanTech Ford trucks for its department of public works. These trucks emit 20 percent less nitrogen oxide and up to 60 percent less carbon monoxide than gasoline-powered vehicles.

“The City of Cypress is always looking for opportunities to put green vehicles in our fleet, and it’s important to move toward greener fleets when possible,” said Doug Dancs, the city’s director of public works. “Plus, the choice for propane was an easy one since we have had a propane fueling station in place since the early 1980s…”
