Montana School Bus Fleet Makes Significant Shift to Propane Autogas

Student transportation company First Student will be deploying 50 propane-powered school buses this fall for the Bozeman Public School District in Bozeman, Mont.

These full-size Blue Bird Vision school buses feature the Ford 6.8-liter engine coupled with ROUSH CleanTech’s propane autogas fuel system. A 67.5-gallon ASME-certified steel propane autogas tank is mounted between the frame rails in the vehicle’s rear overhang. The propane-powered Vision is certified by both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
