I just returned from this year’s Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Long Beach, Calif. The largest clean fleet expo if its kind, the show brings together the latest and most innovative products in the alternative fuels world — propane autogas, natural gas and more.
The mass adoption of alternatively fueled school buses is sweeping the nation. Every day, hundreds of thousands of students are transported to school in buses operating on propane autogas. Last year 10 percent of Type C buses sold in the U.S. ran on autogas.
When ROUSH CleanTech began manufacturing propane autogas fuel systems, this fuel was only spoken of as an “alternative” to gasoline and diesel. But, the conversation has shifted.
This year’s NTEA Work Truck Show and Green Truck Summit begins Tuesday, March 4th and ROUSH CleanTech will be there to showcase our technology and broad product line from an E-150 cargo van to a 30,000 GVWR F-650 lift truck.
As this year comes to an end, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the relationships we have established with you, our valued partners. A quote from American businessman and automotive pioneer Henry Ford comes to mind: “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; and working together is success.”

ROUSH CleanTech has experienced an incredible amount of growth this year. Since the company’s inception in 2010, we have been building on our momentum toward the company that we have today. And we have our customers to thank. In 2013, we took great strides to increase our brand presence in the alternative fuels industry. We expanded our company by hiring dozens of new employees. We invested heavily in technology, people and processes.
In 2013, we have experienced a dramatic increase in the number of ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas vehicles on the road. Our most important mission is to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry, as we know vehicle downtime is a critical measurement for success — or failure — of a program.
Last week, many Americans across the country headed to the polls. It may not have been the presidential election, but still important. Each citizen cast their vote to make an impact for something they believe in. For Mike Hogan, president of Knight’s Airport Limousine, he fought for something he believed in, and his one voice helped change Massachusetts’ state regulation.
At ROUSH CleanTech, we have worked diligently to lay a strong foundation to support not only our customers, but you, our partners, as well. We continue to improve the technology, our supply chain, the ROUSH CleanTech brand and our field service team so that we are setting the bar high for the industry.
