As more propane autogas-fueled vehicles deploy across the country, so too does the demand for trained maintenance technicians to service them. Even the most seasoned technicians need proper training before they can safely and reliably work on alternative fuel commercial vehicles and buses.
ROUSH CleanTech field service engineers can explain the maintenance requirements and troubleshooting tips for our propane autogas fuel systems. Our team is here to assist and teach technicians how to service and repair propane autogas-powered vehicles using web-based training programs, repair videos, onsite training and our toll-free technical hotline.

Executive Director, Customer Success
Brian Carney is the executive director of customer success. In this role, Carney oversees the Customer Success department, consisting of the field service, technical service, customer support, warranty, training and technical publication teams. The goal of the department is to ensure customers’ successful adoption of the company’s products, and to minimize vehicle downtime.
Carney joined ROUSH Enterprises in 2005. He began as a marketing research intern at ROUSH Performance Products, later being hired as brand marketing manager. A key member of ROUSH CleanTech’s launch in 2010, Carney served as director of marketing, where he developed and managed the corporate brand, website, advertising, sales materials and all media activities. He previously led the growth of the school bus market in his role as group account director – school bus sales.
Carney received a bachelor’s degree in marketing, with an international business specialization, from Michigan State University. He currently lives in Royal Oak, Michigan, with his wife and two daughters. When he’s not in the office, you can find Carney playing bass guitar, rooting for the Spartans or brewing his own beer.
Field Operations Manager
Mario has been with ROUSH CleanTech since 2011. As the field operations manager, he strives to provide customers with an unmatched level of customer support. Mario provides both remote and on-site service support for ROUSH CleanTech products, as well as conducting training sessions to familiarize customers and the service network with propane fuel system products. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University in Automotive Engineering Technology. When he’s not outside grilling (using propane, of course), Mario likes to hunt, fish, and go snowmobiling and four-wheeling.
Field Service Engineer – Southeastern Region
Anthony is a field service engineer for ROUSH CleanTech. He works closely with service centers providing support and training to technicians on ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas systems. Anthony has more than 24 years of automotive experience and 16 years with the Ford brand.
Field Service Engineer – Central Region
Jefferson is a field service engineer for ROUSH CleanTech and brings 20 years of experience as a master technician for various Ford dealerships to the team. He enjoys spending his free time attending concerts with his wife and three daughters and relaxing at their cottage.
Field Service Engineer – Northeastern Region
AJ is a field service engineer for ROUSH CleanTech bringing 5 years of experience from multiple Ford dealerships to our team. In addition to his full-time job, AJ is the second in command of his local US Naval Sea Cadet unit which is the US Navy and Coast Guards youth group. In his spare time he enjoys marksmanship and spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and dog.
Field Service Engineer – Western Region
Scott began his career working for import dealerships, then spent 15 years with U-Haul. He’s an ASE master technician and is L-1 certified, as well as a U-Haul master technician. In his free time, he enjoys taking road trips with his wife and five kids to national parks and historical sites.
Field Service Engineer
Pete is a field service engineer for ROUSH CleanTech. He brings more than 45 years of automotive experience and 40 years with the Ford brand. Pete is always willing to lend a helping hand providing support to service centers, training technicians, and assisting customers. In his spare time, Pete enjoys restoring classic cars, model railroading, and relaxing in northern Michigan with his family.

Customer Support Manager
Travis joined ROUSH CleanTech in August 2016 to help lay the groundwork for our Customer Success initiative. Travis has over 20 years of experience in customer service, including 11+ years leading customer support teams in the business-to-business sector. Travis has assembled a team of talented Customer Support and Technical Support agents to ensure ROUSH CleanTech can respond to our customer’s needs quickly and effectively. Along with overseeing the daily operations of our contact center, Travis is continuously working to bring new improvements to all facets of our customer’s experience.
Technical Support Agent
Grant has been with ROUSH CleanTech since 2016. Prior to coming to ROUSH CleanTech, Grant worked for ROUSH Industries in Prototype Builds, Garage Services and the Wiring Lab. In his free time, he enjoys working on cars and spending time with his daughter.
Customer Support Agent
Before joining the Customer Success team at ROUSH CleanTech, Karis spent over 7 years in the Automotive Salvage and Aftermarket Parts business as an inside sales representative. She also spent time as a school bus driver in the Metro-Detroit area. Karis is married with two kids and enjoys relaxing by a campfire in her free time.
Technical Support Agent
Chad Smith started as a Technical Support Agent in late March 2018. Chad brings great technical knowledge from his prior position as an automotive technician at a Ford dealership in Toledo. In his free time, Chad enjoys riding his motorcycle and gaming. Another passion of his is parkour!
Technical Support Agent
Jeff is a Technical Support Agent and has spent a number of years at ROUSH. He started as a Technician and then moved to Quality Control Inspections. When he’s not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, coaching hockey, and going up north.
Pavani Akella joined the team as a Salesforce Administrator in April 2017. Prior to coming to ROUSH CleanTech, she was a Salesforce Administrator for Tech Mahindra in India. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her son and her husband.
Customer Success Specialist
Alex Lyall rejoined ROUSH CleanTech within the last month as Customer Success Specialist. Alex worked as a marketing intern for Brian Carney in 2010. He started in Program Management at ROUSH Performance in 2016. In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time on the golf course and exploring new breweries.
Technical Content and Training
Technical Content Manager
After working in multiple segments in the automotive industry, Lance serves as the technical content manager for ROUSH CleanTech. He develops and administers service resources, including online and instructor-led training, service manuals and video content. These resources provide customers and service centers with important information on the operation and repair of ROUSH CleanTech vehicles. Lance uses modern training techniques and instructor experience to support ROUSH CleanTech customers. He received a bachelor’s degree in Automotive Aftermarket Management from Northwood University. With his dog by his side, Lance likes to play the drums for his wife and hang out with friends on the weekends and drink craft beer.
Jared began as a Training Coordinator at ROUSH CleanTech in 2016 after retiring from a 17-year career in the Army and acting as a trainer in heavy weapons in the Marines. He also received his bachelor’s degree in training from Wayne State University, and then spent three years teaching in a classroom after receiving his degree. Jared enjoys spending time riding dirt bikes with his kids.
