Mobile County School System Rolls Out State’s First Fleet of Propane Autogas Buses
The Mobile County school system has purchased 30 buses that will use propane autogas instead of diesel fuel. Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey joined school officials Thursday morning for a media conference on the new buses, which will reduce the system’s fuel and maintenance costs, according to information from the school system. The Blue Bird Propane Vision buses, which use ROUSH CleanTech autogas fuel systems, joined the school system’s fleet on Aug. 7, the first day of school.
