Decades old alternative fuel technology once deemed impractical is slowly finding a new niche in the Houston area as private companies search for ways to save money and go “green.”
In October, DHL Express, an international shipping and delivery company, introduced 21 propane-autogas powered vans to its fleet with the potential to reduce greenhouse gases up to 25 percent, carbon monoxide by up to 60 percent and nitrogen oxide by 20 percent.
